The Women’s Fellowship was first established in Cawood as a more inclusive alternative to the Mothers’ Union, and welcomes women of all ages and backgrounds. It usually meets at 2 pm on the third Monday of each month, at 16 Water Row.
The church choir comprises a small but committed group of singers, who help to lead the musical aspects of worship at our main Sunday services. In addition, the choir contributes to special services at Christmas, Easter and Harvest, and may also be available to sing for weddings and funerals (depending on prior commitments).
The choir is always ready to welcome new members. It is not essential to be able to to sight-sing or even to read music: enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, a love of music and the ability to commit to attendance at a reasonable proportion of choir practices and Sunday services are all much more important! Choir practice is normally held on Friday evening, from 7.00 till 8.00 pm, in church.
